Depends: On where it is. Occasionally cholinergics may work if drysoll does not. If it is underarm or palms there are treatments that are more invasive at the level of the vagal nerve (botox or surgical). See a dermatologist with an interest in hyperhidrosis.

hgh level, thyroid tests, & rarely carcinoid/pheochromocytoma needs to be considered. Topical anti-perspirants containing aluminum chloride (drysol) 10-20% may help. Oral anti-cholinergic med (glycopyrrolate) or beta blocker (bp pill) has helped some.  Iontophoresis, and Botox has also been successful. Finally there's surgery, sympathecomy.

They are best suited for patients with certain types of excessive sweating—people with excessive facial sweating, cranio-facial hyperhidrosis, generalized hyperhidrosis, and those who have not had success using other first-line therapies such as clinical strength antiperspirants, iontophoresis, botox, or combinations.

Maxim...: ...Is an otc antiperspirant, available online, that i've found effective (no financial interest). If that doesn't work, the drionic device (also available online) is effective for some. Oral prescription medications are available, but they tend to cause side effects and i try to avoid them whenever possible. Sometimes they are necessary, though, to control this embarrassing problem.

Family physician: Best care starts first in family physician's office. Surgery can be quite successful for appropriate candidates. Depends: Is it only in the thighs ?  When does it occur - when its hot, during strenuous activity?  
There are topical treatments like certain dri,  drysol.   There also medications that are prescribed like robinul (glycopyrrolate).   Surgery may be option but it is usually not done for thighs only.
