PH of body: The ph of your body is tightly controlled by the kidneys and even by your breathing rate. It would not be a good idea to try and control the ph with baking soda nor would it be very effective. It could actually cause harm.

Baking soda Baths: Well let me say this: bathing with baking soda is safe and harmless for your body, but could cause more intensification of dryness. There is really no use in bathing in baking soda (unless you’re trying to cook bread.) Seriously, the best way to bathe is with a mild soap and water but not too frequently. Usually dermatologists such as myself recommend Dove as the standard.

is it safe to use baking soda everyday as a facial wash or facial cleanser?

Accepted Answer

Not recommended: Baking soda is too abrasive and may dry out and irritate facial skin. Use a gentle foaming non-soap cleanser for daily use. If you have acne or oily skin, a benzoyl peroxide cleanser may help. Scrubbing usually leaves the skin more vulnerable to irritation and redness.

any opinions on a detox bath? detoxifying your body by laying in a tub with epson salt, ginger, baking soda, and essential oils?

Reasonable to try: There is not much research on this topic, but epsom salt baths are a proven way to get magnesium into our bodies, which most people need more of. Baking soda and essential oils are said to help our bodies to detoxify and I have many patients who tell me they do feel better if they do this when feeling toxic. There is certainly no harm in trying. At the very least soaking in a warm tub is relaxing!

Accepted Answer

No: Skin candidia can treated with cream. If you oral candida oral antifungals will eradicate and probiotics can recolonize your bowel flora. Systemic candida occurs only in very sick individuals who are undergoing chemotherapy or someone with has aids.

Really doubt it: You have limits of increasing alkalinity in body since your kidneys kick the alkali out in urine and lungs neutralize the rest. Unless you mean raising the alkalinity of the urine. If so, you can do that with ice tea, lots of vegetables with or without baking soda. However,  I do not think this will clear candida. You have not mentioned where do you think is the candida infection in your body.

i have a bad body odor since 8 years ago even after shower..i have try acv,chlorophyll,probiotic,magnesium,zinc, put on baking soda,lemon..pls help?

Do others notice?: Is it "fishy"?  Certain genetic conditions can cause this.  You should see a doctor if you have not already.  You're doing all the right things already.  If no one else notices it (ask your mother), then may not be worth worrying about.

Baking soda for odor: Use it like powder. A light dusting in each underarm, then a pinch over your left shoulder for good luck!
