: Bad taste is often caused by Gun disease which can be checked/ handled by a Dentist.
Since you also have ear pain, this may need a ENT doctor to do a full ENT examination.
So I would suggest that you first see a dentist unless you have seen one in the last 6 months.

If you have strep throat, antibiotic therapy is imperative to prevent future complications. Consider tylenol (acetaminophen) or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications. Saltwater gargles: mix 1 tsp salt in 8 oz warm water – gargle several times a day. Or gargle with aloe vera juice twice a day.
