Thrush?: Thrush can occur after taking strong antibiotics or steroids and is an overgrowth of candida species(fungal) that needs special medication to treat.  Please see an md of you are at risk for thrush..

blood spots in mucus when blowing nose. metallic smell and taste in mouth with small headache, could this be sinus related?

Accepted Answer

: If these symptoms followed a head cold from a week or so ago, they could be from a sinus infection at this time. Keep the sinuses draining with gentle nasal irritations using very clean warm salt water or ocean nasal spray. Steam inhalation can also be used. Tylenol for headache relief. If symptoms persist or worsen, appropriate oral antibiotics are prescribed.

Smoking?: Most common is chronic damage to nerves of the nose and tongue from toxic exposure.  Your complaints are very common for smokers or those who use asthma inhalers too much.  Heavy metal toxicity can cause these symptoms.  Lead, mercury and arsenic exposure can cause this.  A thorough medical evaluation would be appropriate.

Not certain: Could be infection, or even a neurological issue. It would be best to discuss this with your physician

Foul smell: Foul smell in nose/mouth can be caused by both sinus/tonsil infection. With  sinus infection one has nasal congestion with thick yellow/green nasal discharge/post nasal drip
with tonsil infection one has sore throat.

at night nose burns smell grease as if i left oven on but did not.  have a broken off tooth, metallic taste in mouth.  just off antibiotic.  causes?

Some thoughts...: The infection, sinusitis, decay from the tooth, dry mouth, the antibiotic, plus a host of other factors can all be contributing to your symptoms. Have your dentist restore that rotten tooth and any other dental issues you might have. Then, if your problem(s) persist, see your PCP.

i've been covid positive for almost over a week now. my sense of taste and smell is diminshed a bit. however, my tongue feels numb, lump in throat, mouth feels weird. are these also symtpms of covid. ive been to er few times already due to symptoms?

: Unless proven otherwise I'd regard these tongue and mouth symptoms as part of the covid infection. The medical literature does describe tongue numbness and refers to it as covid tongue. At this stage I don't think paxlovid or remdesivir treatment would be helpful. You could get your physician's opinion.about this.

the line across the back of my head leaks fluid so much my hair is wet, i lost my sense of taste and smell, my nose is always stuffed up ?

Fluid: I am not sure exactly where you are leaking fluid from the back of your head,, but it is not normal!  Get checked.

Head issues: This could be a Migraine type of situation. At any rate this needs further evaluation. PLease see a neurologist.

Possibly: It is not a for sure thing that you would have an infection but those symptoms common for an infection that is draining such as an abcess.  You may want to have a dentist take a look for you.
