Muscle strain: Most likely is a muscle strain.During the act of coughfing several muscles  are activated in a sudden and strong manner and that include muscle around the shoulder blade.Need to strecht them out , applky some heat and take otc analgesics.If pain persist need to see your pcp.

See below: This could be a chostochondritis, bursa irritation or a rotator cuff issue.  It could also be your lung.

This is definitely something that needs to be seen by a doctor.

Pain: heat, stretching, muscle relaxers, and tramadol are possibilities.  See your doctor for options

Varies: There are multiple potential causes, and it may also be more than one condition.  A pinched nerve in the spine can potentially cause those symptoms.  I would not hesitate to be seen and an exam and appropriate studies can usually determine the cause.

Could be anything: from pulmonary embolism or shingles, so it is best to consult with your doctor for this.

Nerve compression: neuritis may be caused by cervical spinal compression, disc disease or generalized neurological disorder. you must be examined and tested asap.

Need exam: Your symptoms suggest cubital tunnel syndrome ( ulnar nerve entrapment @ elbow) but a thorough history and physical exam is required to confirm. Supraspinatus( rotator cuff) injuries can occasionally present as you describe but this would be unusual. Most RC strains or tears cause pain w/ overhead activities, difficulty sleeping on the affected shoulder and/ or weakness... Best of Luck!

May need to see your: Doctor. Depends how you injured it.You may have a bicipital tendinitis if you did some unusual lifting, or sports injury. Difficult to diagnose without further exam &amp; evaluation in person. Get it checked out if it continues. Get a 2nd opinion from a D.O., osteopathic doctor specializing in Neuromuscular Medicine. They can diagnose, image if warranted &amp; treat. Many in FL. Call the school's clinic.
