Back pain: can be related to overuse or arthritis. Weight loss, anti inflammatory diet, and physcial therapy can all help. Try seeing an Osteopathic doctor

Doctor can check now: Many possible causes of pain in the back in adults in their 30's. One's doctor can evaluate. There can be a muscle strain or spasm, inflammation in the joints or tendons, nerve pain from the spine or on the skin, an spine bone problem, a kidney disorder, etc... If obese, that can cause back pain and a lot of other health problems. For "severe" pain or possible spinal nerve symptoms, ER is helpful.

Back pain: This could be anywhere from a muscle strain and spasm, subluxation of the vertebrae to a bulging or herniated disc.   You should see your physician to evaluate your back if things do not improve within a couple of weeks.

Too high for neck: this is too hard to be from the neck. It is a localized muscle or neurological issue. Ask your physician to have you see a neurologist if necessary.   Your description sounds like it could be nerve related

Needs an X ray: Get an X ray to define the amount of curvature of the spine, as you may have scoliosis. Most likely no surgery . Based on xray can decide. You can try bracing , but let's get X-rays first
