have back pain that goes from the bra strap to bottom of rib cage. make it hard to get in and out of bed, pain can be so bad .?

See your doctor: You don't mention whether there was any strain or injury.  If the pain is over the spine it could be from infection, disc disease, arthritis, an osteoporotic fracture (unlikely at age 39) or other causes.  Pain in the muscles on the sides is usually caused by a strain, overuse, or sometimes a kidney stone.  At any rate, if it is hurting you this much some investigation is warranted!

Seek referral: To a physiatrist or physical therapist for a physical examination and treatment. It's hard to give suggestion for treatment without knowing what this is.

Kidney?: You might be suffering from a kidney stone or infection. You can see your doc for a urine test and possibly an ultrasound. Motrin may make your pain better in the mean time.

Back pain: This could be many things - more information would be needed.  If there was a strain or lifting - it could be a muscle strain.  If fever or cough - could be pneumonia.  If fever or symptoms when you pee - could be kidney infection.   If a rash around that side of back with blister like lesions it could be shingles.   If the pain persists follow up your physician.

Thanks for asking!: I somewhat agree  but as u look young and trained-  just find out  more about your spine  -posture- etc  scoliosis can do it  . Also   spine need to be straight                                             . Also have a check up.

Cancer pain: Not knowing your current medical condition, it is hard to say. If you are healthy, it may be a sign of fatigue or muscle aches and pains. If its worse not relieved by over the counter medication or topical remedies, i would see  your physician to check out all the possibilties of the back/rib pain.

Please see doctor: I recommend that you contact your doctor to be examined and get more history, so that you can be properly diagnosed and treated if necessary. If you are having increased pain in your chest, or difficulty breathing, please go to the emergency room to be evaluated. There are many possible causes for your symptoms, but your doctor can figure it out with more of a history and in-person exam.

More info needed: These symptoms are nonspecific and more information about them is needed in order to advise you. A viral infection is a likely possibility. At this time I recommend resting, drinking adequate fluids, avoiding roughage,spicey and greasy foods and taking Tylenol as needed. Diarrhea may ensue. See your MD if symptoms worsen or do not gradually improve.

Pain on breathing: How long have u had this? Do you have fever or cough or chest congestion or vomiting or nausea and is it associated with meals?. It could be form a variety of things best to see ur doc.
