Suggest: Have your doctor check for presence of Baker cyst, or cartilage/ ligamentous issues afflicting your knee.  This may represent a mere strain/ sprain, but if persists, get this looked at.

It sounds like: Sciatica or pinched nerve which maybe related to arthritis, slipped disc or narrowing of the spinal canal. Diabetes is a remote possibility. See your dr for an accurate diagnosis. Take care!

Multiple things: could be a multitude of things:
1 - DVT. A blood clot typically arises from the lower leg veins and can cause pain and swelling. The test to diagnose this is a duplex ultrasound of your leg.
2- Musculoskeltal- could be arthritis, a ligamental strain, or some other tendon/ligament/bony issue, or a Baker's cyst
3- Vascular issue. Sound like you need in person evaluation. Hope this helps.

Knee issues.: I can't speak to the part of the knee that is injured. However, patients do sometimes indicate that they have burning pain from meniscal tears. You woul need to be assessed to find out what is wrong with your knee.

YES: Characteristically, lumbar stenosis can be very position dependent, and flexion may make the symptoms transiently worsen, and extension may relieve.  Since you have a structural condition, it is unlikely to easily respond to  conservative treatments, and you may require more invasive approaches.  Talk to an experienced back surgeon who could provide further advice.
