so my temp orally was 99.2 but.my alxiary temp was 99.3 so adding a point.would.make it.100.3 right so what do i go by  oral or axillary? fever?

Is a low grade fever: The axillary temp it frequently lower, as you point out, but if oral temp is valid would go with that.  You have a low grade fever, just need to go with your other symptoms, if any, and decide what you should do next.

Sounds like crypts: in the tonsils, possibly filled with stones from old infection.  You should see an ENT to make sure it's not a current infection and to learn whether anything can be done to prevent it from becoming one.

5.5 month old with congestion, now with a cough and can hear phlegm in his chest. no fever but axillary temp was a lil low 96.5f. should he be seen?

How long: You did not mnetion the duration of the symptoms, if it has been over 4 days i would consult the pediatrician.

Yes: 99.5 is actually considered at the high end of normal.  Normal temperatures run between 97 - 99.5 with 98.6 as the middle of the bell curve.  Also, night time is normally when or temps are at their highest, even when not ill.

No: Rectal is the gold standard and if that was 37.2, that is completely normal. Waking up sweaty often indicated your temperature was higher and has now returned to normal by your body sweating. It's when you have shakes and chills that it may indicate your temp is going up.

Pediatrician: With evidence of persistant pain, probably should be seen by the pediatrician.The fever while telling us there is  an infection most likely , is not in and of itself dangerous unless we hit 105.

one swollen axillary node, some general malaise like im fighting a cold. no other nodes or fever. bad anxiety and im terrified! im in good health ?

Probably not serious: The large majority of people with this sort of problem have nothing serioius or dangerous. But of course see your doctor if the axillary swelling becomes painful or other swellings appear, or if you develop fever. Or if the symptoms persist more than a week or two or you remain nervous about it.
