Possibly: If it is 100% effeective in preventing afib, you are ok.  However, if you have any breakthrough afib, it will conduct at a faster rate without an av blocking agent.

Electrical Block: The av node is an area of the heart that allows the distribution of the electrical pathway of the control of the muscle contraction of the heart.  Ibuprofen and all drugs that decrease prostaglandins can change the metabolism of the flecanaide a medication that you are taking to help this and result in a potentially serious outcome.  No motrin, advil, aleve (naproxen) or naprosyn!  see you doctor!
