Could be either: Vaginal odor typically indicates an infection. Bacterial vaginosis is the most common cause of vaginal odor. Yeast does not typically have a strong smell. Have your doctor do an exam and it should be easy to determine which is the cause.

Sounds like a yeast : Sounds like a yeast infection (candidal vaginitis).  Can cause a brownish discharge.  Easily treated with either otc anti-yeast preparations or prescription anti-yeast preparations.

Yeast medication is available over the counter. If this does not work you will need to schedule a visit for testing. If you are not wanting to be pregnant please see your doctor to begin birth control.

Excessive drainage: Excessive drainage may be an indication of infection, even though during the ovulation time you may notice little more drainage, have it checked out to rule out infection.

Fermentation: The bacteria in your GI tract break down the compounds in the bread into hydrogen sulfide gas which causes the smell. Wheat products other than bread may cause the same effect. Try changing the bacterial composition of your bowel by eating natural probiotics like yogurt, sauerkraut, kimchee or kfir. It may take a week or more but it could make a big difference. Vagus nerve: Apparently these odors stimulate the vagus nerve resulting in reflex nausea and vomiting. This reaction can be blocked by taking atropine type medications or anticholinergics. Some people with this hyperreaction to odors get help by taking peppermint oil tablets(not the liquid).
