Atarax: is a sedating antihistamine, ofter used in place of anxiolytic/antidepressand medicatins. I suggest anoyjer appointment with your PCP for a prescription change. to SSRI,bupropion,  or benzodiazipine plus CBT psychotherapy..

?: Are you talking about for anxiety?  If so, there are a lot of other options like buspirone, and valium is one option.  It varies which medication works better for which person.

if i take half of a 25mg atarax can i take another after 4 hrs? if i take a quarter could i take another after 2 hrs? i am currently taking a half at night to help sleep, took a quarter today to get some idea of how it would effect me during the day?

: You can do that for your own experience because the total dose is still in approved ranges (50 to 100 mg PO given 30 to 60 minutes before bedtime). However, this medication should not be used for chronic insomnia.

It depends: But if it is a false positive just ask for confirmatory testing which will come back negative.  Atarax (hydroxyzine) doesn't routinely cause false positives in my experience.

how long can atarax (hydroxyzine) cause a false positive pregnancy result? if i took 25 mg @10:30 pm thursday night and got a positive monday @3 pm, is that false?

It doesn't: Atarax (hydroxyzine) isn't known to affect  pregnancy test results, besides it stays in the system for about 2 days maximum, so by the time you performed the test your system was free of it, repeat the test or check with your doctor
