Menses irregular: Common occurrence and difficult to place a cause for it on any particular changes.  If you think that you somehow might be pregnant, get test urine strips otc and test yourself one week to 10 days after you miss your period (or not).  You should be fine.  Good luck.

Pill effectiveness: The pill is nearly 100% protective if taken regularly, but it depends on when in your cycle you began. If you started on day five of your last period, the chances are good that the pill will work to prevent pregnancy, but if you started from 6-10 days after your last period, the pill may not be effective. If you are "late" after finishing the cycle, get a serum pregnancy test (not urine) .

: "Low dose" bcp's taken as directed and within the hour of the prior day's active pill are close to 96-98% protective against pregnancy. One aspect which is critical is not allowing more than seven days to elapse not taking an active (hormone containing) pill, as ovulation may occur, and therefore pregnancy is possible.

Normal: No worries, it is common when going from pack to pack with this pill and when starting the placebo pills again to have no bleed, spotting, or very short and light periods , especially if you are not heavy( and particularly light ).
