Yes,: Both drugs in the same class (opioids) so they will both show up the same. Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid and much stronger than morphine. When testing for Morphine, it will show positive for morphine metabolites or fentanyl. Take care.

Death: It was not made to be injected and has impurities that should not be in your blood stream.  Too much morphine in your blood stream will lead you to stop breathing and death.   Iv morphine is made for injection.  Drug abuse is a treatable problem, if that is the issue please ask for help.

The way to go there': S no choice. It may cause agitation, so typically we cocktail it with an anti anxiety med.

Dependence: The use of opiod narcotics to control pain should have some end point.  Very few cases should result in permanent use.
The biggest negative effect becomes addiction and dependence long term.
Our bodies begin to require more to get the same effect over long term use of opiod narcotics. 
On the other end of the spectrum, using for long term and them stopping could lead to severe withdrawl.

i'm 7 weeks preg and on 200mgs of morphine sulfate 2x a day. my doc wants me on till i'm past 1st trimester in fear i will miscarry.  is this safe?

Pregnancy and morph: Wow - your daily morphine dose is quite high. More importantly follow your doctors advice. The morphine probably becomes more of an issues later in the pregnancy. I would suggest that once the 1st trimester is completed that you try to wean off the morphine.

i'm wondering if my morphine sulfate 200mg tablets are safe for pregnancy if they will affect the baby developmentally my doctor wants to keep me on them for the 1st trimester in fear i will lose the baby. i've lost 2 pregnancies already.

Hi morphine dose: Your infant will no doubt be born addicted and will have to be weaned off of morphine from birth. You are on a really high dose of morphine. It's not clear why. Both for your sake and the baby's try to detox as soon as possible.
