Yes: A small percentage of people have sensitivity to aspirin, which causes a flare- of asthma.  For those people, medications like Aleve or Ibuprofen can cause breathing problems.  Tylenol (acetaminophen) is generally considerd safe.  However, the percentage of people with asthma who also react to anti-inflammatory medications is low, and the use of these medications is usually safe.

Yes and no: Asthma in adults is a chronic disease, but many people don't "feel" symptoms until they have a cold, exercise or an allergy or smoke exposure and their lung function drops significantly.  Even between attacks the inflammation can be present and lung function below normal.  Now there is a breath test called exhaled Nitric Oxide that can help measure lung inflammation even when no symptoms.

See an allergist: If you have in your area, but what made you check the IgE level to start with? Definitely a physician, better follow up with him/her who might refer you to an allergist, at any rate you more evaluation like spirometry, allergy skin testing, given your previous history and family history, you may need prophylactic controller medicine, your upper airway needs evaluation too, goodluck
