side effects of ascoril in 6month old baby?

Not recommended: Firstly, a 6 month old is too young to take any OTC meds except maybe tylenol (acetaminophen) and/or motrin.  I don't think ascoril (dextromethorphan) is even indicated for children less than 2 yrs old and even then studies done on 2-6 year olds have shown no benefit and potential for side effects like dizziness, feeling weak and irritable.

ascoril+ expectorant is it safe for my one year kid. he has cough and a runny nose. he is coughing a lot. plz suggest a remedy.

Cold preparations: Cough and cold syrups are not recommended for children.  The side effects are more likely to appear than any concrete benefits.  A teaspoon of honey in a child over a year of age (avoid botulism) has been shown to help a cough.  Increasing the humidity can also help.  Best of luck.

Ascol: In animal studies of Asacol (mesalamine) and pregnancy, the medication did not cause problems in pregnant rats and rabbits. It should be remembered, however, that animals do not always respond to medicines in the same way as humans, the full risks of using Asacol (mesalamine) during pregnancy are not known.  Discuss this with your obstetrician.

Yes, definitely: Ascorbic acid (vitamin C)  is the major antioxidant. You can use drops, capsules or tablets  as a sublingual to be easily digested under the tongue.

There are several studies that point towards Ascorbic Acid helping those with headaches, but headaches are a known side-effect of large doses of ascorbic acid.

Safe to take: There really shouldn't be any side effects  at that dose.  That is the recommended dose for many brands of over the counter vitamin c supplements.  As with any pill/drug/supplement you may have upset stomach from taking it or have an allergic response to it.  Alwys check with your doctor before starting any supplement to ensure that it is safe for you to take.  Hope this helps.
