Guaifenesin will cause stomach aches and headaches in higher doses.  Pseudoephedrine can cause increased blood pressure in normal doses and even more so in higher doses.  Hope this helps.  Try to stay in the recommended doses or the prescribed doses.

: I would not. Studies decades ago showed these antihistamine preparations provide little to nothing of value to children. They thicken secretions and make them harder to cough out. Self -medication by children thinking more will help more are a common trigger to ER visits for overdoses. A little honey and lemon do wonders at that age for cough.
