If symptoms, get CT : 
Pneumoperitoneum describes gas within the peritoneal cavity and is often the harbinger of a critical illness, often perforation of a hollow viscus.
CT much more sensitive than any plain radiograph.
other signs suggestive
fat-stranding
free intraperitoneal fluid
Gas tends to form small triangles between dilated bowel loops
On your x-ray ,.there a lots of stools suggestive of constipation.

However, I would recommend that you consult with the physician who ordered the x-ray to discuss with you the results in light of the reasons why the x-ray was ordered. This will help with an overall management plan.

Not sure how you can: pinpoint the pain in the colon. This is hard to describe and i have never in many years  heard anyone describe quite this way. If you have pain throughout the abdomen, you may have a problem with something that involves the entire colon or crohns Another consideration might be irritable bowel. May want to consider having a visit with a GI doctor but get the opinion of your family doctor first!

It depends.: If the gastroenterologist is fairly certain that the precancerous polyp was removed completely, and the pathology results confirm that, then the ascending  colon would not need to be resected.  Depending on the results of the local lymph nodes, the surgeon might be able to get by with resecting just the transverse colon. Good luck.

Depends: If this was diagnosed on a ct scan, it could mean anything from mild colitis to a cancer. Best to be evaluated by a gastroenterologist ; see if you need a colonoscopy or not.

What kind of surgery: It would not be a normal issue from most surgery to have a colon perforation , but it is a possible complication of some procedures.
