Painful arm.? Broken: It is difficult to say if it is broken or not . You would need to see your doctor for more studies .Simple x-ray would be of benefit to determine if the bone is broken or not  after examination .Hopefully that would  address your concern

Healing...: Your collarbone connects the upper part of your breastbone to your shoulder blade. Restricting the movement of any broken bone is critical to healing. To immobilize a broken collarbone, you usually need to wear an arm sling. The length of time immobilization is needed depends on the severity of the injury. Union of the bone usually takes three to six weeks for children and 6 to 12 weeks for adult.

The question is...: Whether you permanently injured your arm as a child?   Or whether you spent more time throwing a ball at age 11 than at age 47?  Consider rephrasing the question.

Elbow pain: If he had intense pain, then I recommend he be seen at a good urgent care clinic or emergency department.

Not a good idea: Anything sufficient to protect your healing bone under the cast would be so inhibiting that your football skills would be minimal. Anything less would risk your healing and a non-union of a bone is an ordeal best avoided if possible.

i've been playing football and now i've bruised 4 toenails. is it dangerous to continue playing on?

Accepted Answer

No: It is just that, a bruise.  Your toenails will probably peel off in time.  You need to watch for infection.
If problem see a podiatrist.

A superficial sen-: -sory nerve may have been injured. Because of no lacerations involved it is called a neuropraxia  which means nerve contusion with no disruption of the anatomical make up. These have a great chance of recovery in a few days to a week. If not better it means the nerve must regenerate from the area of injury down. This takes a while, as the progress @ about 1mm/day from the spot of injury.

fell on left side of hip/back during football tackle landed hard, pain straight away, after a day no bruising but some swelling is this serious?

It's not likely to: be serious but it could "throw you off your game" for a while. I recommend telling your trainer or coach about this.  They may want you to be checked out and get advice on how to best recover from the injury.  Best wishes.  Dr. Anne.
