These usually are short lasting (5 min to 2 hours) and cause no permanent changes.  If this test does not work as I have indicated, then see your ophthalmologist for a better diagnosis.

Environmental Causes: Proto-oncogenes are genetic coding that, given the proper environment and triggers, will begin coding to the abnormal proteins leading to cancer.  Sometimes, even having proper oncogenes will not lead to a cancer.  I cannot stress enough that cancer is a combination of nature (genes) and nurture (environment) with a slightly heavier weight on nurture.
