You need to see an endocrinologist to sort through the information.

: You are likely correct. Any disturbance of the skin surface as would be in tattoo removal may trigger enlargement of local nodes that can persist for a few weeks.

Lymph Nodes: There are no lymph nodes outside the body. They are also not air filled cysts but are dense tissue that is not 'poppable'.

Not sure: I am not sure why you had a drain at all, if it was a single lymph node. . I would suspect that you have either a hematoma or seroma. 3 days should be more than adequate time for a drain, we usually get our drains out within the first few days, unless the drain continues to have output of greater than 30 cc in 8 hours.

i've been having a lot of sinus drainage and i've never had a swollen lymph node behind my ear from what i know. can this cause this to happen?

Monitoring Centers: Lymphatic system absorbs/carries things too big to go into the arteries/veins like bacteria eaten by white cells and digested food. Lymph nodes "taste" the lymph for anything bad  like bacteria/viruses/cancers, etc. When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system and your body reacts.  They enlarge in response to the inflammation they create when they react.  They shrink when all is well.

The CT: was normal other than a small incidental lymph node(no lung nodules)?  The probability of lung cancer is probably less than 1%.  If the lymph node is otherwise normal in shape, it is likely of little to no significance.
