Yes, but.....: Generic drugs are the same as the brand names, at least in the USA where their manufacture is carefully regulated.  However, not every person will respond exactly the same to a brand vs a generic often due to differences in the manufacturing process, fillers, dyes and other factors, including some that might be how one perceives the two medications.

UNFORTUNATELY THERE IS NO ANSWER TO THIS!
 I HAVE FOUND THAT GENERIC VERSIONS OF ALL ORAL MEDICATIONS ARE ALMOST NEVER THE SAME!
EVEN IF ALL THE GENERIC DRUGS DO HAVE THE PROPER AMOUNT OF THE DESIGNATED AND PRESCRIBED MEDICATION, THERE ARE A HOST OF DIFFERENCES IN EACH.
COLOR, SHAPE, SIZE, IMPRINT, EXCIPIENTS ARE ALL DIFFERENT!
I HAVE WRITTEN BOOKS ON DRUG REACTIONS.

Generic concerta: When going from one generic to another you may find differences in blood levels attained due to differences in absorption because the pills or capsules are made differently and contain different fillers that can effect the extent of and  rate of absorption. This can result in your system getting 20% more or less approximately compared to the brand name drug.
