Yes but it depends: Chiropractors can often help neck pain, but it depends on the cause of the neck pain and the type of chiropractor-some are much better than others. There are many different styles of chiropractic.I prefer those who use gentle techniques like direct non-force, network & activator.Besides medication, consider seeing an osteopath who does manipulation, massage therapy, physical therapy or acupuncture.

Efficacy/ safety: Chiropractors vary sharply in quality, SO, need to be very careful, especially with neck manipulations.  Massage therapy can loosen you, and you might consider acupuncture, as added tool.  Some practitioners are using CBD for relaxation, both physically and emotionally. Biofeedback can be useful.  Exercise with a trainer might help posture.  Swimming may work.

Depends: Chiropractors have extensive education in medical management and their treatments can include giving IV therapies (allowed in Mo) and not just hands on manipulations. They do not require a referral. PTs now graduate with a Dr. Of PT degree and state law varies regarding if they can treat without MD/DO referral. 
Call each to discuss your problem but w/o referral I suspect Dr Chiropractic is needed

They don't: Chiropractors do a deep massage called thrusting to presumably correct subluxations, something only they can see on an x-ray.  Chiro manipulation of the neck is risky and potentially can cause strokes and paralysis.  If your neck is bothering you, see your orthopedic specialist first and get some advice and perhaps gentle physical therapy.

Not likely: Chiropractors interpret all backs as having disease.  Your visit is proof that there is a problem and they will find one for sure.  Chiropractors offer a deep, sometimes satisfying massage, but no diagnosis and certainly no cure.  See your regular doctor if you have a problem.

Probably not: Chiropractors operate under the notion that all backs are abnormal.  The inciting event is your visit - proof that something is wrong.  And they will always find something by a combination of touching and blasting you with unshielded, high energy x-rays to find non-existent pathology.  If you suspect a problem, see your family doc or orthopod first.

: With your history of two neck operations I wouldn't recommend manipulation of your neck. See your neurosurgeon for evaluation of your symptoms, neck status and get diagnostic and treatment advice.

Hard to say: Not enough detail to answer well.An alternative for getting your neck pain properly assessed &amp; treated might be to consult a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.). D.O.'s are fully licensed physicians &amp; surgeons &amp; can perform any &amp; all necessary tests to make sure the cause of your pain is benign.In addition, D.O.'s also do manipulation (similar to chiropractic) &amp; many can use that to fix necks.
