Anxiety help: Without any weakness over that time frame, the Neuro is right - ALS is not likely. But you do feel worried and a good Health Psychologist might help you as you investigate. They can evaluate the emotional part and refer you to physicians w/ their impressions of the physical part. That's a bit like having an attorney. If the Dr didn't mention MS. I don't want to worry you, but that's worth a nod.

It could result like many other conditions like diabetes, asthma et.C  from our genetic make up or be caused by many other medical and syvstsnce use disorders. We need REM sleep: (rapid eye movement - dream sleep) to blow off psychological stress.  W/out it we become anxious and short-tempered, even hallucinate if deprived long enough.  See your doc or a mental health professional to address your sleep deprivation.  Peace and good health.

Anxiety is at the: top of the list relative to your symptoms and ALS is at the bottom of the list.  Please see your doc who will check. They you can get treated for possible anxiety disorder by a  clinical psychologist.  Peace and good health.

Potassium!: Have your doctor check your blood potassium level. It could be low due to flare, causing these symptoms.
