is it normal to feel constant anxiety in the first trimester? im scared somethings going to go wrong or somethings wrong with the baby. what can i do to help ease these nerves?

: Every new mom to be can experience anxiety over the outcome. All of them know someone who has had a miscarriage, a kid with a birth defect, a kid sick in the NICU, etc. Discuss these thoughts with your support group. I rarely ever met a new mom who didn't think of these things on occasion. If it is interfering with you life find a life coach &amp; learn stress reduction/relaxation techniques.

is it save to take solpodine short term for a very bad ra flare up in 1st trimester, ?

Accepted Answer

If you mean: Solpadeine, then you should consider avoiding this.  There are multiple medications under this name, which are combination medications, often including codeine and/or caffeine.  While moderate caffeine intake hasn't necessarily been shown to be detrimental during pregnancy, I'd be careful.  Additionally, codeine is an opioid and ideally would be avoided during pregnancy.  Review this with your OB.

Normal range: There is no exact normal measurement at any gestational age.  There is a range in which measurements are considered normal.  If you are outside of that range the pregnancy may need to be redated.

i have been taking a small dose of 15 mg of morphine daily. i wanted a professional opinion of if it's safe to take morphine in 1st trimester?

What did your OB say: I say no, esp in the 1st trimester that is not good, u need to find a way to get off the morphine asap and u will need to be followed by your OB and a perinatologist and be referred to wean off and stop the morphine.

if 1st trimester u/s are off by a week, than would this mean fetus gest age would be off? would fetus be 11 or 13 weeks then when it measured 62mm?

62 mm CRL: A 62 mm crown rump length corresponds to about 12 weeks 4 days. Hope that helps!

Early sono: Early sonograms are very accurate. The margin of error at 12 weeks would be about 5 days. A 12 week fetus would not measure 8 weeks.

No : No but it probably tasted pretty gross.

Fluids: Most common are inadequate fluid intake, too much caffeine, diabetes not well controlled, and test error.  First trimester fluid estimates are very difficult to be accurate.

Probably but don't: Your baby is drawing nutrition from your body and losing weight is best postponed until after childbirth.

Nov 24th: To get an LMP from a due date,  add three months and subtract 7 days.
