i' m taking lorazepam 0.5 mg for 4 days. i still have anxiety in late afternoon. should i take 1 mg?

D/w Provider: This is one that you need to discuss with the provider who is prescribing the lorazepam. It should be taken as directed. If not optimum, that let your provider know.

all day, but mostly in the morning and late afternoon/evening i have a weakness in both my legs. could this be anxiety or should i see a doctor.

Accepted Answer

This might occur: with a panic attack - but there would be a number of other symptoms as well. Don't anticipate leg weakness as a just a generalized symptom of anxiety. Discuss with your parents - if sx's don't resolve then consider medical eval. Take care.

i had zofran (ondansetron) and morphine late afternoon yesterday in er and i feel like i'm having a bad anxiety attack. is that normal? everything looks weird/dizzy

Possible, Not likely: The most common reason for an anxiety attack, is anxiety, not medication. First check your safety, then check your emotions. If you feel either is being pressured or stressed, the anxiety would be a normal reaction. Does the pain you got morphine to treat still bother you? That too could be stressful and anxiety provoking. The medicines are not likely still in your body. Try to ID your stress.

i get frustrated if i think i'm going to be late, is that like anxiety?

Frustration: If your frustration does not interfere with your activities of daily living or cause significant distress, it is normal.

should i take a job offer if im not comfortable with the late hours due to taking  public transportation? (i have social anxiety)

Maybe: Your safety is always first. However, it is important to stay active. Having a job is always good.  Develop a routine (this will help you relax, to focus, to create consistency and give you a better chance to suceed). 	Focus on what you want: tell yourself  what you want , not what to avoid. Never too late: I've personally worked with patients with social anxiety far older than 25.  Anyone can learn to use tools and strengths to their advantage socially.  It probably takes a therapist and guide through this process.  It also takes practice, arguably the hardest part of the treatment.

got predisone pak late in day. instructed to take all 6 pills/24mg. feel off, have anxiety, worked myself up before taking. is it the med, or anxiety?

Both: The medication can cause some anxiety and a feeling of impending doom. This will pass .  The fear you felt before taking the medication simply primed the anxiety pump. The unpleasant feelings will not last long and can be alleviated a bit with deep breathing and meditation . A warm bath may help or if possible a gentle massage .

It can: The pituitary gland, which is the "center of the menstrual cycle universe" , is attached on a tiny stalk to the brain itself.  Input from the higher centers of the brain( like anxiety) can strongly influence the pituitary gland to "temporarily" stop its' intended operations by pushing the "pause" button on the menstrual cycle.

can late whiplash syndrome cause anxiety? what can you do to treat it?

See a doctor: it can, may be because of the pain.
proper evaluation by a doctor will treat the pain from whiplash, and evaluate and treat the anxiety,and everybody live happily ever after.
