Anxiety & diarrhea: Yes, anxiety can cause diarrhea -- usually in spells that correlate with upsetting or anxiety-provoking situations.  Constant diarrhea is a very different thing, and hopefully you're working with your doctor to get to a diagnosis and treatment!  by nature, anxiety comes and goes -- or at least, ebbs and flows even if there's a constant underlying worrying going on.  See your doctor & take care.

Unusual but possible: Contact your prescriber.  You may not be able to tolerate this medication. If side effects are mild it is reasonable to wait but if moderate or severe call your prescriber and consider other options.

Cause of anxiety?: Try to find out the cause of the anxiety and treat it. Taking medicine without knowing the underlying cause may not help to eliminate it. Get to the source of the problem and don't just put a bandaid over it. Seek professional help for the cause and treatment of your anxiety.

i'm being treated for sibo with xifaxan (rifaximin). i feel so weak and tired from a week long attack of diarrhea, anxiety and cramps. what can i do for energy?

Hang in there: usually this is only given for 3 days.  It is very expensive.  Maybe you should ask your doctor if you should eat Greek yogurt to help colonize the gut.  The diarrhea and cramps is flushing you out so think poitive about how you are getting better

please help. it has often happened to me to wake up at night with fever diarrhea anxiety and numbness that wont let me sleep. how serious can this be?

Fever: Any illness characterized by repetitive episodes of fever along with other systemic symptoms needs to be evaluated by a physician.  Would record these episodes with your temp, pulse, respirations with any and all associated symptoms and their timing and take this with you to a doctor. If you can see an infectious diseases expert, so much the better.  Good luck.

Yes: Yellow just means bile passing more quickly through the intestinal tract. You probably have irritable bowel or spastic colon which often gets worse (with diarrhea being one pattern) with stress.

For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.

IBS: Irritable bowel syndrome is likely. Chronic anxiety is complicating the issue. Try to identify offending foods. A gastroenterologist is best qualified to evaluate and treat you and give dietary advice(ex. Fodmap diet) and/or medication. See a psychologist or psychiatrist for stress management. Medication may also be prescribed for short term help.
