how long will it take for skin burns to heal from an antiseptic (savlon)?

Antiseptics....: Only keep wounds clean.  They are not designed to granulate tissue.  The use of savlon (which contains cetrimide and chlorhexidine) will destroy active granulation skin tissues.  It won't get infected, but it will take longer to heal.  You are better off using saline get (hydrogels) or prescription antibiotic creams/ointments to help the healing process continue.

i have pemphigus foliaceus and if i purchase hibiclens antiseptic antimicrobial skin cleanser, would it help decrease the inflammation, and appearance on my chest, shoulder, stomach, and back? how do i take a shower with it? i am embarrassed of this.

Should help: When you use Hibicleanse take  a shower normally with your normal shampoo and soap. Rinse off and then apply the Hibicleanse from neck to toes. Remember to keep away from face and eyes.  So nothing above the neck.  Also do not apply to genitals . Let sit for a minute or so then rinse off.

Depends on how deep : Of course I am assuming the offending material has been well washed off. Redness, like a sunburn, can often be treated with a mild steroid. Blistering may require a burn cream. Third degree might require surgery. Best to see a dermatologist or plastic surgeon in person for a true evaluation and plan.

Scabs Beat Scabies: Scabbing is OK as long as there's no infection in there. You'd know that if it is unduly painful or getting more and more painful and there's increasing leakage or discharge. Wash gently and let the scab come of naturally. Don't pick at it (the only thing you should ever pick at is a guitar). If you have to cover it (e.g. you look like a resurrected zombie), do so loosely so the air can get at it.

See a doctor: Get this looked at and cultured.  If this is MRSA it may need antibiotic therapy for resolution.

No medication: Do your gums bleed? The best treatment for periodontitis is a through professional dental cleaning. All the tartar (hard deposits) and plaque (soft deposits) need to be removed from your teeth. Then you should have proper brushing and flossing instruction so you can maintain a healthy mouth.

Not needed: In general,  fluid behind the ear drum by itself doesn't need an "antiseptic" or antibiotic. If the fluid is infected that is a different story and antibiotics can be helpful. If fluid formed because of a nasal or sinus infection then again an antibiotic can help. Most antibiotics in common use such as amoxil, augmentin, ceftin, (cefuroxime) Bactrim etc... Are helpful.

Confusing question: I am not aware of any antiseptic drugs used in the treatment of otitis media. However, we do use antibiotics.Those used vary by the age of the patient, the germ expected, personal allergy history and other factors derived by an office visit.Your pcp can sort this out. This site is not a substitute for an office evaluation when indicated.
