For eczema treatment: Start with avoidance of irritants including harsh soaps, excessive moisture, excessively hot water. Initial treatments include emollients, mild over the counter cortisone, and antihistamines. Physicians can then ramp treatment up with stronger prescriptions if needed.

No: Eczema itself is not an infection. It it usually caused by allergies. The best approach is allergy therapy that can treat all types of exposures: foods, chemicals, and inhalants (dust, mold, etc.). In the meantime, allergy meds can sometimes be helpful.

None: Antibiotics should definitely not be used in prevention of eczema.  It is only used if the skin is broken with a secondary infection.

See your pediatricia: No antibiotics are needed unless infection see you pediatrician. There are topical therapies available if needed. Good general skin care and moisturizer use will help. Sometimes diet/food allergies may play a fool in worsening eczema.

Interaction: Yes, I would need to know the antibiotic you are on, but there is an interaction between marijuana and prednisone. The marijuana does increase the level of prednisone.

i was diagnose with eczema in my right ear on 27/11/2019 dr prescribed a cream and antibiotics a few weeks after that my right ear started to discharge fluid that smells sometime and is warm. what could it possibly be now thats wrong?

Ear canal infection: One possible cause is otitis externa. Antibiotic drops and avoiding immersion is advised until you follow up with your PCP.

good day, i am a 27year old female with aqute vaginal itching. i have tried everything under the sun from steroid creams to antibiotics, deuch cleaners i itch non stop for 2years plus. i have been treated for herpes, eczema, yeast infection?

See allergist?: I presume that you have already been treated by your GYN but still have not had a satisfactory response. I also assume that you had no response to antifungal treatment either. One possibility may be semen allergy or latex allergy.  Has anyone considered that?  If not applicable to you, perhaps an allergist can assist you in finding the cause.

year ago i had a strong eczema (due to excessive use of detergents) that affected all my fingers. antibiotic for staphylococcus aureus (yellow blisters) has resolved the problem however from time to time ring finger exhibits itchy, flaking eczema.

have had weeping eczema for about 4 weeks. took antibiotics for 10 days. it's gotten better but still persisting. what should i use? topical steroids?

Allergic reaction?: Likely this is some sort of contact allergic reaction.  Antibiotics do not usually help this.  See your doctor as you may need a course of oral steroids.  Good luck!
