Unfortunately no: Atropine can take a week to washout. There is really not much that will help but waiting.

been on tobramycin drops x 4 days for a corneal abrasion - are there any otc eye drops i can also use for the redness?

Abrasion: Your abrasions should be healed by now I would think. You could have red eyes from the tobramycin. See your ophthalmologist

Go for it: A sleep mask will not disturb the healing of the cornea.  Your eyes will be closed under it and the cornea will fix itself with no issues.

i had a corneal abrasion 3 days ago. i went to the ophthalmologist and was given tobradex and systane eye drops.

i use medical marijuana regularly and want to know if it will negatively impact the healing process. how long should i wait to use m.j.?

No direct effect: If the use of marijuana impairs your ability to use your eye drops, healing might be negatively effected.  In addition, the use of marijuana may decrease your blink frequency, also slowing healing. You may return to MJ use keeping these things in mind.

corneal abrasion 2 days ago. used diclofenac drops and now eye is much better although still slight blurry vision. will this go away by itself in a few days?

Corneal abrasion.: These usually heal up just fine, but you should be re-evaluated by an Ophthalmologist in follow-up anyway.  Maybe within the next few days.

in corneal abrasion, docs prescribe antibiotic drop to prevent infection. what are the real chances of infection though? is it likely that abrasions heal well without antibiotic too? considering the person also rub eyes which increase chance of germs?

Chances: Docs are hedging their bets. Best not to take ANY chance of infection in an organ like the eye.

Dad's doctor's help: This is a question best asked to the treating doctor. When you go to see a doctor(your dad in this case), that is the first question which should be raised....that is the reason for his visit.
But my guess is it should heal in 2-3 weeks. Usually the pain goes away first, that means it is healing well and should be healed in 1-2 weeks.

Possibly: Corneal abrasions usually can be linked to an injury or event.  The eye dischare is usually watery.  Infections take longer to develop, the eye may be indeed red but the dischage may be mucus like or purulent.  Speed of onset is usually the key.

PAIN!: Ron, A corneal abrasion is VERY painful.  An eye infection, from either bacterial or viral conjunctivitis is not. If you are having severe pain, light sensitivity (photophobia) or an extremely purulent discharge (pus) I would suggest you getting it checked out by an ophthalmologist as soon as possible, or go to the ER at your local hospital.
