: You describe cervical stenosis, and in view of narrowing of the canal, even a mild disc bulge will have a greater impact.  Although your description does not mention focality other than your symptoms, this is not surprising, and does likely fit with pathology.  Bothersome is "flattening" of spinal cord, which is consistent with compression.  Get opinions from neurosurgery regarding  all of this.

Yes: In any major spinal operation, pain is expected during the initial week or two after the surgery. There is no difference in having pain with an anterior/posterior (360 degree) fusion.  The major difference is that there are two major incisions on the body, so there could be abdominal discomfort in addition to requiring medications for pain.

Posterior / anterior: Most  "normally located" fissures are due to passage of hard, dry stools or explosive diarrrhea. These are almost exclusively posterior in men but can be anterior in up to 10% of women. These respond well to lateral internal sphincterotomy. 
Secondary anal fissures are associated with crohn disease, leukemia and certain other neutropenic blood conditions. Surgery should be avoided.
