Tachycardia: Anemia reduces the ability of your blood to carry oxygen.  As a result, the heart has to beat faster to pump more blood in order to compensate for its lower efficiency.  This could result in a sense of palpitations or pounding heartbeats.

Unrelated: B12 and anemia have no impact (cause or effect) on palpitations. If the palpitations are bothersome, have them checked out. They're a separate issue.

More info is needed: Unless your heart palpitations have been evaluated by a cardiologist, you must do this first!  gastritis and anemia may be treated as well, but concentrate on your heart issue first.  Stress may also contribute to palpitations.

had severe anemia, hgb 7.5, 8 months later at 12.3. still get heart palpitations. is this something that can continue even after hgb normal?

Depends: If there is another cause for palpitations, then correcting anemia may not relieve you of this. Try getting of the various medications you may be on, other than iron pills, especially benadryl (diphenhydramine).

No: Iron deficiency should cause your heart to beat harder but still regularly. Real palpitations usualy mean irregular heartbeat. This is usually trivial and your physician can figure this out. Iron deficiency is very serious and you must find the cause and address it. However, you can expect to recover if you comply. Best wishes

i recently got frequent heart palpitations whenever i get dizzy spells. this morning i got one as soon as i opened my eyes. is this normal. ive just been diagnosed with anemia, never had this before pregnancy. im 28 years. ?

Pregnancy : tends to lower blood pressure by causing blood vessels to relax, so you can hold more fluid/blood. This can contribute to the symptoms you are noting, and for sure you should let your doctor know, as testing for heart issues can be appropriate.
