No: Iron deficiency should cause your heart to beat harder but still regularly. Real palpitations usualy mean irregular heartbeat. This is usually trivial and your physician can figure this out. Iron deficiency is very serious and you must find the cause and address it. However, you can expect to recover if you comply. Best wishes
