could my extreme jaw muscle tightness be from an allergy shot i got a couple days earlier? it has been a few days and still not calmed down yet.

Unlikely: The most common adverse reactions to allergy injections typically occur at the site of the injection and within 30 minutes.  This usually includes itching, redness and mild swelling.  Uncommonly a more significant allergic reaction can occur such as asthma or generalized itching. Symptoms localized to the jaw with muscle tightness would not be expected. Other causes should be sought.

Allergy Shots: Allergy shots can cause some localized swelling and soreness around the site of injection (upper arms) but is likely not the cause of chronic leg muscle ache.

Time for Neurologist: These are such unusual symptoms that have followed allergy shots, so one should be cautious about blaming the injections on these new problems.  Any injury to the body may cause a condition known as reflex sympathetic dystrophy/crps complex regional pain syndrome, but it is hard to imagine that allergy shots could bring on such a complication.  Please arrange to see a neurologist now for workup.

Depends: If a B/C allergist couldn't help you, then your problem may not be from allergies at all since there are other entities which mimic allergic reactions.  Muscle test is a waste of time since it has nothing to do with any allergic reactions as we know them.  Give a more detailed description on your symptoms so that we can understand what your needs may be.

can muscle cramps be a sign of drug allergy?

Possibly: Athough any medicine can cause almost any possible side effect, having muscle cramps result from a drug allergy would be on the unusual side.  That being said, the statins for high cholesterol can cause muscle pain.  But that isn't an allergy.  Nevertheless, i would think about other possibilities first.  I would recommend seeing your regular physician.

been suffering from eye allergies , in the mornings i have a hard time opening my eyelids. is something wrong with my eyelid muscles?

Highly doubt it: Usually people with allergies like yours will develop mucous while they sleep which is probably making your eyelids stick together.  Try using warm compresses before you go to bed and see if your eyes open more easily in the morning.

i took a flexeril to help with muscle cramps, and now my allergies are bothering me badly. can i take a benadryl to help with my allergies?

: You should take a non-sedating antihistamine instead, like Claritin. Since both flexeril and Benadryl are sedating, the combination can cause more severe sedation and risk respiratory depression. This means your breathing could slow down to dangerous levels. So, take a non-drowsy antihistamine instead, like Claritin. Good luck!

i have a pencillin allergy but was given cefepime injection to treat uti. experiencing muscle spasms since beginning treatment. what should i do?

Cefepime: Is a forth generation cephalosporin, people with true penicillin allergy (rare) develop less and less probability of allergy with advancing cephalosporin generations. Muscle spasms aren't an allergic reaction, can be an adverse drug reaction rather, meaning: a side effect, at any rate, please convey this information to the prescribing physician, and hope you get over the UTI soon    )

below my left jaw hurts i think it's my lymph nodes can it be from allergies it's like a dull ache or pulled muscle feeling i'm 30 years old ?

Unlikely: It is more likely from an infection (dental, gum, sinus?) than from an allergy if the lymph node is involved.  On the other hand, if the pain is at the jaw area, it may be from a temporomandibular joint problem (teeth-grinding?)  . Check with your dentist.

can an allergy cause muscle pain and fatigue along with on off tender nodes? like when u have a virus? what is the exclusion diet and how do you do it

Highly unlikely: These symptoms are not allergic reactions. You need to consult your doctor to get some basic blood work and may even be referred to a hematologist.    Don't delay another day .
