Test Control: Histamine is used as a control on allergy tests. Meaning we expect you to have a reaction to histamine because that's the chemical that causes the symptoms seen on the skin in an allergic reaction and the presence of a reaction to it means your immune system is working properly by reacting to this chemical in the way we would expect it to. It makes your allergy test results valid.

any reports of food allergies to almond milk?

Scarce: I was able to find a pediatric study from france published in 2002 that showed 2 children out of 163 had allergy to almond milk that triggered  their asthma.  I really expected to find more....The one concern when using almond milk is lack of vitamin and calcium supplementation in some products.

Of the three only fl: Seriously doubt that bottled or  mineral water  unless contaminated could give rise to allergy/anaphlaxis 
if flavored water is not artificially flavored can certainaly have allergic or anaphylactic reaction.

Talk to doctor: A test by itself cannot make a diagnosis and it is the job of the doctor who ordered the tests to interpret them for you.  Do give him a call.

moving to a humid part of the country near the ocean. today is 91% humidity. have conflicting reports of humidity if good/bad for allergies and colds?

Depends : On the cause of allergy, the allergen itself, is it indoors or outdoors, dust mites, thrive in humidity, their source of water, so using a dehumidifier as A/C helps a great deal people who have dust mite allergies, also damp areas hurt patients with mold allergy, pollen allergens vary, that's why the general advice is to be in a temperate dry environment, check aaaai.org for an allergist

Allergic rhinitis: Sounds like nasal allergy issues. Basic treatment includes avoiding allergens (use allergy pillow covers, hepa filters, etc), oral antihistamine e g Claritin (loratadine) or Benadryl (diphenhydramine), saline sinus rinse, nasal steroid spray e g Flonase (fluticasone). If symptoms are severe, consider allergy immunotherapy (shots) or surgery evaluation to address narrow nasal passages (see an ent).

allergy: ige is found 395 iu/ml & other reports are ok. itching with red spots all over . pls prescribe me a solution except steroid & thus help me...?

No steroids for you: Until a physician has taken a complete history & performed a physical examination including looking at those spots. My colleagues & i at healthtap can't do that yet. You may have eczema, hives, contact dermatitis or the rash may be unrelated to the elevated ige. Corticosteroid creams have an extraordinary track record of effectiveness & safety. Don't refuse them out of lack of knowledge. Good luck.

i have been having allergies really bad this week. i have been taking zyrtec and mucinex d since last sunday. friday i added generic flonase. i have not had any fever at all.  yesterday afternoon i noticed a loss of smell. i know there are reports of others saying theyve lost smell and taste while on flonase. i also know that is a symptom of covid. from what ive read and heard, if this was covid id feel a lot worse and have fever.  what are your thoughts?

Screen : A screening test in your area is recommended. It can be difficult to distinguish mild cases of COVID from allergic nasal symptoms. I stay home,rest,drink fluids and use nasal saline until tested. COVID 19 May progress rapidLy and result in fever,chills and flu like symptoms. There : There are probably many items in this supplement and so there really is no simple answer. Would bring the supplement to your allergist who could look at the contents and with knowledge of your history can give you a better answer.

can allergies cause a fever, even low grade? have seen conflicting reports on this. i tend to get a very low grade fever, hot skin, sneezing, sore throat, slight congestion, never a cough. hard to tell if it's a cold or allergies.

No : Allergies don`t cause fever.Infection and inflammation can cause fever. Fever is if your temperature is above 37,3 grade celcius. Hayfever that is allergy to grass and trees and animals can cause sore throat, blocked nose, itchy eyes, nose, ears and throat. A post-nasal drip will cause coughing at night as well. Important to treat the hayfever with steroid spray in the nose daily.
