Allergic sore throat: Sinus disease is always secondary to nasal inflammation (rhinitis). Rhinitis causes post-nasal drip which can cause throat irritation. By treating the rhinitis the post-nasal drip should decrease and the irritated throat and difficulty swallowing should improve. If the difficulty swallowing doesn't improve consider seeing an ENT specialist.

i have trouble swallowing pills. i was wondering if i can open the capsule and pour the powder on water and drink it. its an allergy relief pill.?

Yes: If the allergy relief medication is in a capsule, then you should be able to empty the content in a small container, and swallow the powder, and drink (chase it down with) water.

Sore throat: You might have an infection like strep, that needs antibiotics so you should see your doctor.  Allergies can cause throat irritation too, but  your doctor should take a look at you and he/she might do a throat swab on you too see if you have strep or some other infection that requires antibiotics.  In  the mean time, you can take some motrin.
