Various methods: Look for the sources of your allergies. Environmental sources like carpeting, pets, dirty air filters/ducts, dusty curtains, etc, can gradually worsen allergies unless they are removed or addressed. If you have been on one type of allergy med, try switching to a different one as it may have stopped working for you. Also, try saline nasal washes, as they help to sooth inflamed nasal passages.

i have been suffering with "allergies" since  13 october. i went my gp on the 27 of october and he said it is allergies and prescribed a cortisone injection. it has had little or no effect. not even anti histamine  tablets are working. what now?

Controlled: Allergy can be controlled with avoidance of known sources of allergy (pets, pollen, etc), medication taken consistently, and perhaps allergy shots. However we are not able to "cure allergy" but these measures help restore a good quality of life.
