what would cause the interior of a nostril to smell like vinegar?  i live in jersey and i've developed allergies and the smell is seasonal.

Chronic rhinitis: Can be due to allergies or some chronic inflammation, allergy can be due to any of the environmental allergens around, at any rate you need to be examined, your treatment and drug history taken, start with your PCP who may refer you to an ENT for further examination, if you can use saline nasal washes more often, that will help

i drank a shot of pure apple cidar vinegar (not diluted) and it burnt my throat immediately after and it still a few hours later. my throat was already irritated from seasonal allergies. could apple codes vinegar cause damage to my throat?

: The irritation will likely last a few days and gradually heal. If you develop problems swallowing have it checked, but I doubt it will be more than a transient irritation.

: Avoidance of the allergen and immunotherapy may be reviewed with your allergist. Allergy testing by blood test is available.  The skin lesions may be examined by HTMG and your PCP. Avoid direct sunlight, wear a hat and sunscreen.

can i get a delayed reaction from a jelly fish sting? i got stung five days ago in spain. it is still red and itchy . i put vinegar and used credit card on it when i got stung . can i get a rash or another reaction after five days? am i safe now ?

You are fine: 5 days have gone by, inflammation may linger for sometime, OTC 1 % hydrocortisone cream can help control the inflammation, if symptoms worsen, see your doctor as it may then need prescription medications, best wishes

Gargling: If you gargle deeply, pretty much any substance could illicit a gag reflex.

If he: were my patient I would do lab work on him and an endocrine work up and an infectious disease  work up do not ignore the problem  bring him to a physician for an eval

Bad Idea: The real question is what not to do that slows down healing. Avoid using alcohol, peroxide, hibiclens, betadine, vinegar, bleach solutions. Inflammation ( red, hot, swollen, tender) is important to healing  so anti-inflammatories (motrin, advil) are bad. Cover wound with a clean dressing changed every other day  and protected from trauma.  Antibiotics do not help healing unless it is truly infecte.

Apple cider does: Organic apple cider vinegar is believed to  have many benefits. Especially as a digestive aid. When you take a teaspoon in some water before a meal, it is supposed to help you digest your food. It is also an excellent vaginal douche for balancing flora when you tend to have yeast infections. 1 tablespoon in a quart of warm water.

Antioxidants: Strawberries contain antioxidants and studies suggest they can lower low-density lipoprotein levels and help to prevent atherosclerosis. Balsamic vinegar contains polyphenol (antioxidants) and can assist with digestion by increasing the function of pepsin.
