Yes?: Not an easy answer, many people drink to feel better however it will usually only make these feeling worse, at best it numbs the feeling such as depression but really only makes it worse. Granted you may feel more depressed when you stop, but really you are not numb anymore and just feeling, your need to talk to someone like a doctor or counselor to help figure out your next step without alcohol.

i am taking librium for alcohol withdrawal.  prescribtion is for 25mg.  take 2 capsules every 6 hrs for 1 day.  2 every 8 hours day 2.  2 every 12 hours day 3.  2 every night at bedtime day 4.  i can't funtion on this stuff.  tired, dizzy and somewhat lig

Alcohol withdrawal: if you reduce the dose by a half you may have some withdrawal symptoms which you will have to deal with but you will be able to tolerate the Librium

: Alcohol can mask situational "depression, ocd and behavioral conditions, but these symptoms may occur independent of alcohol withdrawal.  Ask your primary care physician for a referral to a mental health professional for guidance.

Yes: Alcohol withdrawal can often last up to 7 days after the last drink. So, after 10 days you should be ok. Note though that this is if you 100% abstain from any alcohol at all, even a sip. Also, taking alcohol and a benzodiazepene like Librium is extremely dangerous as it significantly raises your risk of seizure. Good luck on kicking the habit.

Alcohol withdrawl: If you have history of heavy alcohol consumption and withdrawal you may go through withdrawal again. " heavy drinking " varies from person to person. Most casual alcohol drinkers will get sick from imbibing too much alcohol which may cause severe hangover and alcohol gastritis.
