People like using alcohol for relaxation, socialization, to deal with stresses, to numb the painful feelings from anxiety and depression.

Nasal congestion: These symptoms are due to the nasal membrane inflammation and congestion. Distorted taste is common when the sense of  smell is impaired and these symptoms will resolve when the nasal passages clear and return to normal.

You are likely safe: Off hand I can't think of any toxins or dangers and it sounds simply like the alcohol was not thoroughly burned off and so you were exposed to some alcohol.  At low levels alcohol ok even at your age.

Not directly: since the alcohol would go away in hours not days. BUT alcohol can be associated with many changes:
changes in gut motility/reflux which can lead to bad teeth, food going the wrong way and setting up for infection anywhere in the respiratory tract or gut irritation.

NO: Alcoholism is heavily used word, I would not name cravings for alcohol as alcoholism. Drinking alcohol can be problematic / abuse/ dependence depending on individual assessment. Cravings are there because probably you have learnt the behaviour from your family. Yes, you are at most risk than others with no family hx of heavy alcohol use.

used aftershave alcohol at the barbershop and after leaving i licked my lips and felt a horrible taste and swallowed some i think. it was dry on my upper lip but i licked my lips and all and i think i swallowed some? is that harmful?
