Irritation: If the eye stays irritated and injected after 24 hours you should see an ophthalmologist mainly to be sure of any damage to the cornea.

a drop of rubbing alcohol slipped from my forehead into the corner of my right eye. rinsed my eye for a few minutes. the stinging stopped within a minute, but it's been 8 hours and my eye is still a little irritated/sore. will my vision be affected?

Alcohol in eye: Rubbing alcohol can cause significant surface irritation and even corneal abrasion. You washed your eye out well, but I still recommend consulting an ophthalmologist to check for damage, which can need treatment, in view of the subsequent eye discomfort.

You need to go see .: You should see a Eye specialist on an urgent basis, like Thursday morning(tomorrow. Alcohol can cause a burn on the Cornea(also called Keratitis) which can be painful and lead to impaired vision. The doctor will have to give you medicines to counteract keratitis.

Depends: If the drops have been prescribed by an ophthalmologist for a specific reason or disease, then you should only stop with his or her permission.  If the drops are yours, especially over the counter, you can always stop and see if the symptom you are treated is still present or not.

do not use "take the red out" drops
rest your eyes with your eyelids closed
have a complete eye exam because the back of the eye can also be damaged by "welders flash".
