Exposure therapy: Phobias can have profound impact on day to day living. I highly recommend considering exposure therapy if this option has not been sought out. A caveat is to find an experienced therapist in this form of treatment, as not all therapists have a good understanding of exposure therapy or use it regularly. When implemented effectively it  Is highly effective for treatment of phobias.

Why was it stopped?: That is the first question. Are you sure the doctor did not mean for you to keep taking the medicine? Do you have refills?
Second question for you: How much alcohol do you plan to drink? The answer will depend on those two factors but a small amount (1-2 oz of liquor could be used in general (or 1-2 beers or glasses of wine) More alcohol than that is not good independent of the conditions treated.

Need more testing: Just because your EKG was normal does not necessarily mean you have no cardiac issues.  If you smoke heavily and have persistent extremity pain of unknown significance, it would probably be in your best interest to have a stress test performed.  This can potentially aid in determining if your pain is of cardiac origin.  I don't see how alcohol could play a role in this.

hi,do i need the flu vaccination yet ? i'm 56, not overweight and don't drink alcohol & never smoked. only medication i'm on is beta blockers for anxiety(propopnolol) i'm a barber not working due to covid restrictions so not exposed to public. thanks?

Yes.: CDC, AAFP, ACP, virtually all the professional medical societies recommend a flu shot for EVERYONE, unless there is a strong and compelling contraindication not to do so. So...go get your shot! Stay healthy!

smoking marijuana with having afib for 30 years. on beta blockers but do to ptsd stress and so on i drink alcohol so wondering if marijuana would ok?

Marijuana: Please discuss this with your Physician. If you have PTSD then a Clinical Psychologist could help you with these symptoms and a Psychiatrist could give additional help with medication. After you have had an evaluation of your heart condition and your PTSD and have been treated for these conditions then you could see if you need additional substances and ask  your Doctor about marijuana.

Not a good idea: Its never a good idea to mix medication with alcohol. Although there is not a direct reaction between alcohol and a beta blocker the efffect of alcohol on blood pressure and pulse rate may make immediate use of either after the other a bad idea.To be safe I would take the beta blocker either in the morning or just before bed so that alcohol can be taken at the "usual" cocktail hour time!

Just be careful...: Caution is always advised, but it should not be a big concern from have 1-2 drinks/day. Just make sure u don't take the medication with the alcohol--take your nadalol far separately from when you are drinking

Not normal: Pain is never "normal". Right shoulder pain may be related to liver. You should be evaluated by your doctor.
