1) Check with your NHS for the countries you plan to be in. 
2) Get all your shots for you and all in your family.
 3) Ask what meds you should travel with for treatment of such things as traveller's diarrhea.
 4) Do the research now on where you can get care while traveling if needed. Know your consulates.
