About antibiotics...: Commonly used antibiotics taken in their typical doses should not affect the effectiveness of Aftera or similar pills. Taking emergency contraception pills can alter the timing or the quality of the current menstrual cycle bleeding and maybe the next cycle, too. One should check a urine pregnancy test 3 weeks later, because emergency contraceptive pills work most of the time but not all the time.

Morning After Pill: Aftera and "Plan B" are basic equivalents. Neither is 100% effective, and both are dependent on creating an unfavorable environment for implantation of the fertilized egg.  At this point, you are doing all that is possible to avoid pregnancy having occurred. You are correct to assume that sperm can be released prior to male ejaculation.

Plan B One Step: Plan B One Step and Aftera both contain 1.5mg of levonorgestrel as the active ingredient and work the same way.  Regular Plan B contains .75mg of levonorgestrel and requires 2 doses.  Best wishes.

i had a d8 vertebrae replaced with a titanium ring. im fit and fine now aftera year. is there anything i shud avoid doing to have a gud healthy back.

Hard to say.: It is hard to say, and you would definitely want to check with your surgeon.  You probably had a t8 fracture and had to have a vertebrectomy and fusion.  Depending on the outcome, you may very well be able tiresome activities without restriction, but you should check with your surgeon.  Thank you for your fusion.

: If your calculation of ovulation is correct the there is an even chance. inserting IUD now  'if the pill fails' is late. The best option for you should be after consultation with your MD/Gyn suiting your needs.

: Plan B can upset the hormonal balance and affect your period. If it at three weeks after sex you do not get a period, do a home pregnancy test. If the result is negative repeat the test in 4-5 days. Use first morning urine and follow instructions for the test carefully. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD.
