Bleeding: Without knowing what medication you received, it's difficult to say why you are bleeding. You should contact your doctor to find out what you were given and if this is a side effect of that specific medication. If it is not, you should see your doctor for an evaluation.

Predictor kit: The question is one of ovulation.  Make sure you do an ovulation predictor kit to make sure an egg is released.  Metformin at 1500 mg in divided doses will make 30% of women ovulate who do not, work up slowly, use the xl, if appropriate.  Using Progesterone is to create regular bleeding but will not make you ovulate.  Do some research on pcos, check if you are ovulating.  Wt loss, metformin if so.

Anovulation: You may be experiencing anovulatory cycles. These are cycles in which the ovary fails to release an egg.  This causes the hormonal cycles to become abnormal.  You should see your doctor.

If you are near: Mid cycle it is very possible. Generally 14 days from the start of your period is considered a fertile period and ovulation usually occurs.  If you are late next period get checked.  Best of luck!

Irregular Menses: It sounds like you may have irregular menses that needs to be evaluated. Especially if you are trying to conceive. This may be a sign of inadequate egg development or cyst productions which can interfere with pregnancy. This will also make predicting ovulation difficult.

Yes: You can.  You can get pregnant any time of the month;  it is more likely half way between periods, but it can happen right before, right after, or even during your period.

Chances of pregnancy: Having sex on the 7th day of menses your chance to conceive depend upon your cycle length ie your ovulation.  If you have a short menstrual cycle around 21 ot 22 days you have a 25% chance to conceive.
