No: A missed period and a positive pregnancy test is the gold standard for knowing that you're pregnant.  While women can be pregnant and have some irregular bleeding around the time of the menses, it typically isn't period bleeding (lighter).  At 47 if you're period is lasting 2 weeks see an ob/gyn to evalute for possible fibroid, polyp, hormone changes or pre-cancer of uterus.  Hopefully just hormon.

Why do you think you ovulated on the 22 day?
If you did ovulate on the 22 day menses usually would occur 14-16 days later.

: Irregular menstrual periods are common. The fluctuations of estrogen and progesterone can be easily affected by stress, weight gain/loss, exercise, lack of sleep, thyroid problems, and uterine issues. If the symptoms persist, talk to your Dr about your irregular periods and what testing can be done to determine the cause. if you are sexually active use contraception. Take a pregnancy test.

May or may not be: Any abnormal bleeding on the pill could be a sign but more likely any abnormal bleeding on the pill is either from the pill or another probelm like your hormones or a uterus problem, so you should be seeing your gyn for an exam and blood work including a bhcg to make sure u are not preg and in my pts in coral springs , fl, i owold do a pelvic ultrasound to check everything.
