Follow Dermatology: If you are trying to lighten areas of your skin the best way to treat your skin is having a Dermatologist prescribe a safe cream for you.  While there are many Over the Counter medications, there can be risk to using lightening creams.  Be careful when using these creams and use them under the direction of a physician

Healing takes time : the itching can continue for weeks after treatment and peeling is normal. Try a calamine lotion and over the counter antihistamines such as Zyrtec or Benadryl (diphenhydramine) for the itching. Also a topical hydrocortisone cream can be helpful for itching. Vaseline can help with peeling.  Remember to repeat the treatment in about 2 weeks and treat your family members as well.

Forget it: You will never find such a soap. Be confident in yourself so you can be the best person you can be. Be judged by the content of your character, not by the col;or of your skin.

They do: Not always work but worth a try. Visit your dermatologist to decide which is the best for you to start with.

if i use african black soap while taking accutane will the soap counteract the medicines job in the long run? maybe with the soaps oils?

Accepted Answer

No: Use any skin cleanser which is not drying or irritating. You will need something for dry skin, especially for your lips and possibly inside your nose. Don't spend a lot of money on soap because you just need something not too caustic. Ask your dermatologist for samples.

if i have an igg allergy to banana, would i be okay to use african black soap to wash my face which is made from plantain ash? so far i haven't noticed any issues...

Yes: if you have not noticed any issues you are fine so far. You can use it as long it is not causing any problem

i used an antibacterial black soap on my face to get rid of acne and my skin didn't react to well to it. two days later my skin started to peel off.then im getting these facial scabs that really burn.im using aloe vera right now but it dosent seem to work

Steroid: You probably need a topical steroid that your dermatologist can prescribe to you.

Ask Michael Jackson: Yes, they can.  We use a 4% hydroquinone at my practice, but a 20% like benoquin (monobenzone) can bleach you forever.  Over the counter products are typically ok.

Foreign-made only.: Mercury is tightly controlled and virtually absent from cosmetics made in the U.S., but some lightening creams made in other countries do have it. It's illegal to sell mercury-containing products in the states, but people buy them online from foreign retailers, or bring them into the country in their luggage. Never use creams of any kind containing mercury; it's very dangerous.
