No need: you need to increase your water intake and if needed see your physician for an antibiotic.  The cleanse is ok to continue.

i'm doing the advocare 10 day cleanse for 4 days now & the whole time i've felt nauseas & headaches that won't go away. should i stop the cleanse?

Accepted Answer

No "cleansing" need: Normal human's have self-clearing (like self-cleaning) intestinal tracts. After a person eats, the food is processed and moved along from the stomach all the way to her anus, without any help or interference from him. If a person is eating a healthy, balanced diet, no colon cleansing is needed. Such cleansing is unnatural. But, it is ok to occasionally use laxative help to get rid of constipation.

is it safe to take the typhoid fever vaccine pills while doing the advocare 10 day cleanse?

Accepted Answer

Typhoid pills: I do not know what is in Advocare.  If there is no antibiotic in this cleanse then I do not see any problem.  It is best to check with your local pharmacist so they can cross-check this product and Typhoid capsules to see if there are contraindications.

i get anxiety attacks and heart palputations and my chest hurts after i drink caffiene.. :( is it safe for me to take the advocare 10 day cleanse?

Cleanse: Why do you think you won't get anxiety attacks when you start 'cleansing'?  These things basically are diarrhea inducing agents, so when you start this you may trigger off anxiety or palpitations or both. It likely won't be dangerous but you are likely to react with anxiety. Another point is, there is no solid evidence that these 'cleanses' do anything really positive for you health wise.

can i do advocare 10 day cleanse if i just started a z pack for a sinus infection? or should i wait to finish the antibiotics first before i start?

Accepted Answer

No use: So called "Cleanse" and "Detox" are hoaxes and do not provide any health benefit.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

i was on the advocare 24 day cleanse and apparently conceived mid cleanse, unknowingly. have i risked my baby's development?!

Accepted Answer

Not likely but...: Not likely, but I have had two patients who did the Advocare cleanse and experienced an increase in liver enzymes on blood testing.  An increase in those enzymes is a strong indication that their livers were stressed while doing the cleanse.  I do not recommend it.

is it safe to try the 24 day advocare cleanse if you have high blood pressure?

It should be fine.: My common sense advice is not to take ur BP and cholesterol meds at the same time as the cleansing agent. Perhaps spacing them apart by 6-8 hours to prevent malabsorption of ur meds. Best wishes!

i take wellbutrin (bupropion) and i'm on a vitamin cleanse advocare 24 day challenge. can the herbal and vitamin supplements stop my wellbutrin (bupropion) from working?

Not likely: The herbal parts of this regimen seem to include milk thistle, echinacea, and astragalus -- none of which should cause a problem with wellbutrin (bupropion).  If you're also taking the fiber part of this plan, i suggest taking that separately from your medication so that absorption is as good as possible.

if you have cirrhosis,  can using the advocare cleanse be helpful?

STOP...Don't do it!: Healthtap physicians have repeatedly addressed this subject with a clear "no" answer to your question. There is virtually no value to liver flushes, cleansers, enemas, irrigation machines when the technique is accomplished to "detox" or eliminate "accumulated waste" or for weight loss. There are few real health benefits but significant unjustified risk. Don't use cleanser please unless prescribed.

No problem: Antibiotics of any kind are not likely to interact with herbal or any other cleanser or natural health product.
