Red in stool: This is likely a hemorrhoid. Soften the stools with colace (docusate sodium) 100 mg two times a day and use a teaspoon of mineral oil three to four times a day. This should help. You should have this checked by a gastrointestinal specialist. Good luck.

Ok to take: There are no drug interactions with common combination cold and sinus over the counter medications, such as Advil (ibuprofen) Cold and Sinus which contains Ibuprofen. You can also take Acetominophen.

: There are many symptoms from the flu like  fever, fatigue, appetite loss, and achiness. It is not unusual to use Tylenol and Motrin or Alleve. Just need to be careful of the dosing. Also, if symptoms persist may want to contact your physician.

Flu...: with the flu, the fever can last for a few days. The maximum dose of Tylenol (acetaminophen) is 3 grams (or 3000mg) in 24 hours. Be careful not to exceed this dose as it can lead to liver damage. If your symptoms worsen, see your doctor.

i was taking tylenol for some pain for a week, but then developed the flu and so i continued to take for the last 5 days. i only take 2 extra strength a day, but am worried about taking more than 10 days. no liver issues, but what should i do?

Possibly: A small percentage develop a mild flu like illness after receiving the vaccination. Headaches may be part of that and should resolve over or 3 days. If the headaches persdist, see your doctor.

Try Extra Strength: Tylenol- 2 caplets every 6-8 hrs  PLUS BioFreeze Liniment ( OTC)- if severe and unrelieved proceed to urgent care clinic.

Doctor can check: If it's Flu A or Flu B, a doctor might use Tamiflu. If it's a cold virus, there are no useful antivirals. Some people take extra vitamin C (may upset the stomach) and some take extra zinc (most lozenges have lots of sugar) but how much these things help is uncertain. Avoiding overexertion is wise. Anti-inflammatories like Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin can help symptoms. Doctor can check lungs.
