i am taking adderall xr for a month now from 10 mg and increasing to 30 mg. however i have been having too many side effects, will ritalin (methylphenidate) la help?

Possibly: It depends on what side effects you are noticing. The stimulant medications are very similar and there are some effects you can see in all, such as decreased appetite. There are genetic differences in the way individuals respond to meds, even if similar, and sometimes it takes a few tries to  find the one that works the best for you.

i've been prescribed 100 mg of zoloft and 20 mg of adderall xr.....is this safe? are there any potential side effects of combining the two?

so im taking adderall xr 20mg. i have no side effects besides developing a weird sensitive sensation in my hands. like it kinda hurts to type & touch. all my side effects have gone away so i just want another opinion?

: My opinion is that your body is talking to you. Listen and take good notes. Share with your Dr and you all should be able to figure out what is going on and then how to make it better.

: Chest tightness is a rather nonspecific symptom. A rib cage origin rather than cardiac or lung pathology is.most likely.  Any rib cage strain or tender spots?  Stress and/or tension can cause chest tightness. I doubt that adderall is a direct cause of your symptom. See your physician for evaluation if recurrent chest tightness continues.

i am prescribed adderall xr 15mg for adhd and take it every morning. lately i have felt a tight burning sensation on the right side of chest and neck. its very frustrating because it does help my symptoms significantly. any idea why this could be?

Withdrawal: There is no explanation for that except for the fact that your body needs to continue to receive these drugs and alcohol for you to feel ' normal '. However if you were to stop then you would go through the effect of withdrawal

Exercise: Please monitor results and have someone else give you feedback.  We are all different and you need to find out the effect of your workouts on your cognition and behavior.  Avoiding excess is a good thing so moderate exercise MAY be the way to go.  Peace and good health.

Wrong question. : Track your weights weekly and report to prescribing physician. Different side effects show up at different times or not at all. Very complex.

Not a normal: side effect: adderall is a combination of amphetamine salts which are stimulants: either your doses are too low or you have other medical conditions causing your  fatigue.

are the any significant interactions between lithium and adderall xr? or do either of these medications alter the efficacy of the other?

Accepted Answer

: To a minor extent, Lithium can blunt the stimulatory effect of Adderall, and together both can increase serotonin levels.  However, in most cases, these interactions are clinically not a huge issue.  Your doctor can check lithium levels to avoid toxicity.
